This bowl was amazing. And this bowl was amazing. This sandwich was to die for. Love the atmosphere in this little place. My daughter and SIL introduced us. We are forever in their debt. Love it!!!
The food wasn't bad. Flavor was good. Rice lacked salt imo. Overall everything had good flavor. Standard quality. Nothing was spectacular, but nothing was bad. Service was not great. After our food was dropped off, we sat for over an hour without anyone checking to see how it was. Empty water glasses the whole time. Other than that, the staff were friendly, just not very attentive. Ambiance is fine. It's a little dusty. Not the cleanest restaurant but clean enough, I wasn't concerned about getting food poisoning... We'll probably be back if we're in the area and we aren't craving either Rio Grande on the corner or the Pie across the street. Haha.
I like to enjoy a pho bowl in the winter but was craving something small this spring week lunch. The out door patio was open and our server served up with a wide happy smile. Both indoor and outdoor experiences were enjoyable.
The food is phenomenal. Sitting out on their deck is very beautiful and pleasant. The service is fine.
This place is a little dingy inside and can use an upgrade, but the food is always consistently good and it's a relaxed atmosphere. We like to go there before seeing a show at Pioneer Theatre Company.
Amazing Saigon Crispy Spring Rolls! Best Pho I've ever had! Although I actually ordered the Mi Bo Kho and the server delivered Pho instead. Haha! Was really looking forward to egg noodles and well... I enjoyed the rice noodles in the Pho instead. Let's just say the service is friendly but not necessary proficient with English language skills. The vibe was an Asian party atmosphere tonight with a large group that kept getting louder and louder the longer the evening went on. They were having a good time - and why not?!! The food was great.
I'm thinking this place got better in the last year. Stopped in for some pho (the tenderloin is the best!) and wow! This bowl knocked my socks off! The wait staff was excellent, and I didn't lack for anything. If I lived closer I'd go here more often!
I highly recommend trying Indochine. Their vegetarian salad was so good and with the mint, shredded cut cabbage, peanuts etc reminded me of Burmese food that I love so much. The tamarind broth soup was also delicious and complex. The monk curry was good and the fried tofu in it was the best I had in a while. I really liked are they have clear vegan marks on the menu (vegan option, GF etc all clearly marked as well. )The ladies at the front were super nice and very caring about allergies etc.
I had never even heard of this place before last night, but was taking a class at NHMU and wanted to grab some dinner with a friend beforehand. I looked up places nearby, and while the options are limited up by the U, there are some really great places, Indochine being one of them. We came around 5pm and it wasn't super busy, but they were definitely short staffed. The hostess was answering the phone, seating people, running food, taking orders from the tables, and bussing. I don't know how she did it all! We ordered their rice paper spring rolls and each of us got their fried rice. The rice paper rolls were HUGE. We got the salad rolls and you can choose the type of meat you'd like and we opted for avocado. The dipping sauce was delicious. My friend got the veggie fried rice and I got the tofu basil fried rice with scallions, tofu, basil, and eggs, and it was delicious, but I was hoping for some more veggies in mine. Next time I'll order the veggie fried rice and add tofu, because my friend's veggie fried rice was packed with veggies and looked amazing. The portions of their fried rice are HUGE! I had a ton of leftovers and it barely looked like I had even made a dent in my dinner plate. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a rush because they are short staffed and the food takes a little longer to come out. Everything we had was delicious and I'll definitely be coming back!
Located in the University District of SLC Indochine Bistro offers Homestyle cooking with Asian fusion influences and excellent service. Love their Fried calamari and their Indochine specialty marinated beef. Especially enjoyed their sweet and sour vegetarian soup with fresh ingredients. Presentation was excellent. Love the ambiance and outdoor seating in front with an a large banquet room located towards the back of the restaurant. Don't forget to order their special deserts and delicious Vietnamese coffee. Cheers!
